Qualification Points

Veterans' benefits require the claimant to meet the minimum of:

  • Minimum service in military of 180 days (unless injury caused the separation and person was discharged honorably)
  • A current, diagnosed disability
  • An in-service event, injury, or illness; and
  • A medical connection between the claimed disability and the in-service event, injury, or illness

Special Claims

Hundreds of service personnel are discharged under less than honorable conditions(OTH). This prevents them from qualifying for veterans' benefits.

The reality is these service personnel often were discharged for other than honorable conditions because of circumstances that should not have applied to them.  Nevertheless, they suffered the circumstances and still do.

Our office assists in getting less than honorable discharges reviewed and changed to an honorable discharge and qualifying for veterans' benefits.

Our Services Are Based On Getting You Benefits

Our goal is to get your deserved veterans' benefits. There is no charge for help with preparing your application. Ask questions and get your answers.

You are charged a fee only if you are awarded disability compensation from the Veterans Administration.

You can have peace of mind that an experience law firm is working on your behalf and will keep you informed on the progress of your claim.

Even if you've been denied before it does  not mean you've lost. Contact us and let us review the facts of your claim. We may be able to get you veterans' benefits and back pay as well.

Why We Do What We Do

We've Been There

The founder of our firm has personal experience of having to fight for veteran benefits, having been denied and then having to fight more and finally acquiring disability compensation. The saga didn't end there.

There was an attempt to disqualify me for a portion of my disability compensation. I had to fight again and fortunately prevailed.  I don't want this to happen to any deserving veteran. You served and earned the right to your veteran benefits.  We will fight to help you get them and keep them.

Veteran Business Help

Veterans' benefits also include assistance for disable veterans who are business owners and entrepreneurs.

The federal government as an annual goal to award at least 5% of all federal contracting dollars to Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) each year.

In 2025 that amounts to 38.5 billion dollars. Contracts are specifically set aside for Service-disabled small businesses. Joining the SDVOSB program makes a qualified service-disabled business eligible to compete for these contracts.

In order to qualify for this veteran benefit SDVOSB must apply and be certified through the U.S. Small Business Administrations VetCert program.

Our office provides assistance to disabled veteran businesses to become certified to qualify for doing business with the federal government in general as well as the Department of Veterans Affairs, Contact us for the valuable veteran benefit.
